Welcome
Welcome to the new school year! My name is Mrs. Cubria, and I am so excited to be working with your child this year. I’ve been part of the North Bergen School District for 19 years, and while I’ve spent most of that time as a classroom teacher, I now have the privilege of supporting students as a 7th Grade Resource Teacher.
I am deeply passionate about helping students grow—academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe that every child learns differently, and my goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. I work closely with classroom teachers to provide individualized instruction and accommodations that meet each student’s unique needs.
A bit about my educational background:
📘 Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology – New Jersey City University
📗 Master’s Degree in Reading – NOVA Southeastern University
📙 Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) Certification – New Jersey City University
What to Expect This Year:
Throughout the year, I’ll be working with students in both small groups and classroom settings to help reinforce skills, build confidence, and support them with their work. I focus on promoting independence and critical thinking, while also encouraging a love of learning.
Communication is Important!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, I’m here to help. I believe in building strong partnerships with families and open communication is the key. You can reach me by:
