Welcome! Bienvenidos!
School Year 2025 - 2026
Dear Parents/Guardians:
My name is Arietys M. Fernandez, and I am delighted to serve as a Spanish instructor for the new 7th Grade. This marks my thirteenth year in the field of Spanish education. My decision to pursue a career in teaching was significantly influenced by four family members: my grandmother, two aunts, and my mother, all of whom served as influential role models. Their dedication to education has profoundly shaped my approach to teaching. Teaching Spanish in the United States presents both challenges and opportunities. Holding a K-12 World Language license has allowed me to teach Spanish across various grade levels, and these experiences have been invaluable.
Having earned a master’s degree from NJCU, I taught Spanish in Hoboken and Jersey City. Throughout my tenure in both districts, I cultivated numerous positive experiences. The essence of a fulfilling teaching career lies in fostering a secure environment where students can thrive.
In addition to my professional responsibilities, I enjoy reading, engaging in craft art projects, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with my family. I reside in North Bergen with my husband and our one -year – old daughter. My husband and I are both originally from Cuba. I am a firm believer in fostering a collaborative relationship between home and school environments. At home, students are under the care of their parents, while at school, they are under our guidance as educators. As a World Language teacher, I provide comprehensive instruction, inspiring students, and supporting their growth. Furthermore, I am committed to sharing students’ achievements with their families.
An easy way to contact me is at my email [email protected] or via Google Classroom. Students need notebooks, sharpen pencils and their computers. I also will be available to provide extra support on Monday afternoon.
Sincerely,
Arietys M. Fernandez
